Irish Aid (2011 - 2013)

Following three years funding from Irish Aid (2007 - 2009), ORBIS has secured a further three year grant from the Irish Aid Civil Society Fund to assist with funding the ORBIS Ireland sight-saving project in southern Ethiopia.

"ORBIS Ireland would like to thank Irish Aid for their support and contributing a massive €600,000 over the next three years towards our efforts to eliminate blinding trachoma in southern Ethiopia. ORBIS is thrilled to have them as a key partner.

The grant will allow us to implement the WHO approved SAFE strategy in the Gamo Gofa, Derashe and Konso Zones, one of the poorest and most remote parts of Ethiopia. With the support of Irish Aid, ORBIS will make some significant changes within this area and we are truly grateful for their support".
